Mel is a Lancaster transplant that joined Industrial Resolution after meeting the rest of the crew over several Tech Lancaster gatherings. She studied Computer Science and Spanish at Bloomsburg University, is self-taught in art and graphic design, and also has experience in copy editing and writing. Her father was a Network Engineer and IT Admin and she grew up spending long hours in Microcenter and tinkering with computers, so her becoming a programmer was no surprise.

Her favorite projects to work on are full custom solutions - frontend, backend, and everything in between. She particularly enjoys working with small companies and nonprofits to build out exactly what they need and want, down to the smallest detail. She is one of the few developers that actually enjoys writing documentation.

Mel's life goal is to live in a nature grotto with fiber internet and a garage full of tools.
