Joel Walker

CEO

Joel is the enthusiasm and heart behind his technology services consulting company, Industrial Resolution. Industrial Resolution injects fresh, creative technology solutions into every one of their projects, serving clients with the passion and tenacity of a start-up. This pride of ownership of each project makes them stand out in the crowd. Joel’s ability to envision “what could be” on behalf of his client comes from lifetime of thinking outside the box and helps drive the way his team engineers the solutions they build. This passionate approach to designing solutions as a team pushes the envelope of what clients have come to expect out of IT consultants, and is what helped put Joel’s face on the cover of the Spring 2013 Innovation Issue of FIG Magazine.

Walker began his technology career as a business developer for AMQ Software and quickly became the go-to man for the company’s clients, moving from salesman to account manager to marketing director, then operations director and ultimately CEO. In 2010, he assumed the role of CEO and so began the roots of the Industrial Resolution brand. In 2013, Joel purchased the company. Due to his leadership, Industrial Resolution is proud to be able to name the United States Golf Association, IMG, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the City of Lancaster PA, the City of Philadelphia, Pavone Advertising, the Lancaster STEM Alliance and Amodei Logistics as some of their influential clients. However, over the past 7 years he is equally proud to have served all of their many clients, big or small, and from all over the world.

In 2014, Joel joined the Board of Directors at the innovative Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and still serves in that capacity. He has played a crucial role in helping the organization transition to a non-member based community prosperity model so that other entrepreneurs could take advantage of the many opportunities within Lancaster’s thriving business scene. In 2017, he helped create and launch a 2 year Associate’s degree program for web and software development at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.

Above all of these achievements, Joel is the most proud of his family and he prioritizes being an attentive parent to his kids. His wife Holly is the strong grounding that Joel’s creative spark needs to run his business responsibly. His two children, Huckleberry and Scout, are his motivation for it to succeed. Perhaps the most important detail about Joel is that he happens to be a diehard Bruce Springsteen fan. He is fond of reminding whoever will listen that you can’t start a fire without a spark.
