To the progressive and purpose-filled companies and organizations of Lancaster!

A note from Joel Walker,

I am writing today with exciting news. You may have heard that Industrial Resolution is now a verified partner of Elastic, a Silicon Valley tech company specializing in powerful search and data technology! Indy Res is working with this Big Data giant to bring the benefits of data collection, analysis and visualization to Lancastrian businesses and organizations of all sizes.

For the past two years, we've diligently worked to build a relationship with Elastic. Our team began taking Elastic training courses. Pubforge began to host a monthly Elastic meetup. Elastic employees in the local tech community became ambassadors for the platform, and it took the stage at last year’s Central PA Open Source Conference. As we got closer and closer to being able to play a role in bringing this product to our local market, Elastic too was undergoing significant changes. They received several rounds of VC funding, enabling them to grow from several hundred employees to several thousand over the span of two years. Dramatic shifts to products, offerings, extensions and programs ensued. Finally, at 9:30 AM on October 5th, 2018, Elastic had a successful IPO. Through all of this excitement, they have established a partner network which was the tipping point we were waiting for. Well, friends, the wait was over and our time is now. As of this summer, Indy Res holds a Verified Partner status with Elastic. Our partnership enables us to leverage the Elastic stack in hundreds of variable ways we may choose to solve problems, create opportunities, and give our customers that crucial edge over their competitors that custom software often brings. More noteworthy news is that Industrial Resolution, the little old tech engine that could, is one of a very few Elastic Verified partners on the entire East Coast. In fact, Tyler Golden, our CTO, has recently become part of an elite group; an Elastic Certified Engineer, a prestigious certification shared by only 400 other people in the world.

What could that mean for the business community in Lancaster?

The possibilities are endless, but for starters, let me ask you:

How do you currently collect data on what matters to you, and for that matter, once you have it, how do you analyze in a meaningful way?

As we all know, any progressive company who is actively monitoring, measuring, comparing and crafting reports uses their in-house software's reporting capabilities to whatever extent is practical. Oftentimes that leads to them resorting back to manually created spreadsheets to get the results they are looking for. Elastic search can take that pain away. More than that, Elastic search can empower your monitoring and reporting to a tipping point of data enlightenment! The time you save hand-jamming data into old software systems will be repurposed into exciting new development initiatives as your data begins to tell the story that, once upon a time, you had to write yourself.

I'd like to invite you to an upcoming Elastic seminar that we are co-hosting at Pubforge with Elastic. The event is Thursday September 12, from 3 to 4:30 pm. During the presentation, you'll hear from other Elastic customers and Elastic representatives. We also invite you to join us afterwards on the roof of Tellus 360 for an "Ask Us Anything" cocktail reception, where Elastic and Industrial Resolution engineers, leaders, and representatives will be on hand to answer any and all questions to the best of their ability.

I sincerely hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you there.
